The focus wasn’t transactions it was trust migration, emotional velocity, and how to earn relevance in a future where “banking” is no longer an action.

Shift: From transactional thinking to value design preparing ANZ’s payment teams to lead into invisible, ambient, AI-assisted commerce.

Morris used foresight to reframe relevance, trust signals, and digital fatigue and helped attendees confront the harder question: what are we really optimising for?

Shift: From feature updates to strategic visibility recentering product and platform around clarity, emotion, and future-aligned purpose.

Two Crises, One Opportunity Rebuilding Relevance Before It’s Too Late

    Insurance, Risk & Workforce Futures

Across two pivotal moments post-GFC and again during the fallout of the Royal Commission Allianz engaged Morris to challenge how insurance could stay trusted, needed, and human. The focus was not on product, but on public positioning: What should a 21st-century insurer mean to people?

In parallel, Morris was commissioned to script a global innovation video on the future of healthcare delivery (mHealth), and later headlined their national Workers' Compensation summit. His keynote reframed the future of work, wellbeing, and the evolving contract between insurers, employees, and the institutions we trust to catch us when things go wrong.

The result? A multi-layered relationship that reset how Allianz talked about trust, future relevance, and the human impact of the systems we insure

  • Allianz (mHealth + Workers Comp)

Redesigning Risk Around the Human, Not the Policy

    Insurance & Health Futures

Allianz didn’t just ask Morris to speak — they asked him to reshape how they think. Over two engagements, Morris delivered a national Workers’ Compensation keynote and developed a foresight-led script for their global innovation content on the future of mHealth. The brief? Rethink what resilience means in a world where health, data, work, and risk are permanently entangled. These weren’t one-off insights — they were provocations designed to influence how Allianz leads conversations their competitors are still afraid to start.

Shift: From claims-driven protection to human-centric prevention — turning risk into foresight, and foresight into advantage.

The result? Strategic messaging, executive alignment, and future-facing language that reframed Allianz as a proactive risk partner — not just a reactive safety net.

Then | Now | Next: The Evolving Conversation

These are conversations Morris has led across the sector for 30+ years, with many of the sector's current challenges already emerging when Morris began his work in the early 2000s.

Whether you're in banking, insurance, superannuation, or payments—tomorrow’s challenges won’t be solved with yesterday’s assumptions. Bring foresight to the table with a discovery session or briefing.

Then (2010)

How do we talk to Gen Y about superannuation?

Now (2025)

What does value mean when wealth is fluid, fractional, and on-chain?

Next (2030)

What happens when autonomous money makes decisions before we do?

Looking Back, Seeing Ahead.

Morris’s instinct for the future runs deep.

In 1975, as a schoolboy, he wrote and starred in a skit about paying with plastic instead of cash, long before it became reality. Fast forward to 2012, and Morris was on stage with one of the Big Four bank’s credit card divisions, warning that plastic cards were on their way out, soon to be replaced by mobile payments. The idea was rejected at the time. That didn’t stop him.

The same message was delivered in different ways to Visa in Bali, MasterCard on the Gold Coast, and across a national tour for Colonial First, as he walked industry leaders through not just what’s changing, but what they’re not seeing yet. Today, those once-futuristic forecasts are standard practice. And Morris? Still out in front.

  • "For 15 years we have worked with Morris, exposing an extensive array of clients to his magical, but highly pragmatic thinking about the futures. He takes great care to understand their context & build inspiring and occasionally scary stories that help clients get out of self-limiting thinking & happily embracing new ideas to help their organizations truly thrive."

Mary Larson, Partner, MNP, North America

  • "The most engaging presenter I’ve seen in 9 years of insurance."

    Kon Laspas, BDM CHU Underwriters

  • “Morris is obviously an expert in his field and provided an invaluable presentation to our leaders that was thought provoking and inspiring. the presentation itself was of very high quality.”

    RAC Insurance

  • “Morris was very easy to deal with and was open to speaking to the other presenters to ensure the overall message was consistent and engaging for our clients.”
